The Seminole County Chamber helps our members learn about issues affecting their businesses and our community. We provide a voice of the whole that is greater than the voice of one, to make a difference in creating a thriving business community in Seminole County and Central Florida.
We take significant time to examine each issue, listening to and considering both sides of every subject brought to our attention, and ensuring a diverse group of business leaders weighs in on their opinions.
If we decide to advocate in support of or against any particular issue, we take multiple actions.
- We help educate our membership through events, position articles and more.
- We provide a voice to local media to help their readers and viewers understand the implications of an issue to the business community.
- We include the information in our annual legislative agenda that is shared with our Seminole County legislative delegation.
- We travel to Tallahassee and Washington, D.C., to talk with our lawmakers about the impact of an issue on our members.

Our Recent Success
Our Chamber has been involved with a number of issues on the local, state and federal levels for years. Some of our recent successes include:
Meet the Committee
The issues committee welcomes members in good standing with the Seminole Chamber to attend any of our meetings. They are held the second Friday of every month at the Seminole County Chamber.
To become a voting member on issues, you must attend two meetings in the prior fiscal year to the vote and be a standing member with a signed commitment form..

Legislative Agenda
Our 2026 Legislative Agenda is the result of months of work by the Issues Committee and our board. Please take the time to understand these issues and help share why they are important to your business and our community.
