  • SCPS Names 2020 Teacher Of The Year

    (SANFORD, Fla.) On Friday, February 1st, Seminole County Public Schools (SCPS) named its 2020 Teacher of the Year, Ms. Sarah Hall of Longwood Elementary! As part of this prestigious award, Ms. Hall will receive a Teacher of the Year ring from Herff Jones, a Disney Annual Pass for herself and each member of her immediate family, and $1,000 from the Foundation for SCPS. Plus, a 1 year lease to a new Chevrolet Sonic car lease courtesy of Carl Black Chevrolet/Buick/GMC. In addition, she will go on to represent Seminole County in the state Teacher of the Year competition.

    Bio: Ms. Hall is an energetic and inspiring teacher who radiates positivity. With 15 years of experience, Ms. Hall continually goes above and beyond for her students and fellow colleagues. She has made it her mission to build relationships with her students and their families by creating a literacy program entitled “Roaring Readers: How to Train Your Cub.” Through this program, parents are invited to school once a month to have meaningful discussions on how they can support their readers at home.
