ABOUT WORLD HEART DAY:
The World Heart Federation established World Heart Day in 2000 to bring global awareness to cardiovascular disease (CVD) and stroke. On WHD, individuals worldwide are able to join in the fight against the CVD burden by creating a call to action encouraging heart-healthy living. Seminole County’s call to action is teaching life saving hands-only CPR. Every year, 735,000 Americans have a heart attack; of these, 210,000 are a patient’s second heart attack.
