SANFORD, Fla. – Join the Foundation for Seminole State College as we honor the wonderful legacy of giving that philanthropist Harriett Lake created throughout her lifetime. Over 4,500 of Harriett’s most cherished personal items will be offered for sale for the first time to the public starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2019. All proceeds will have a direct impact on the theatre and arts program at Seminole State College and help provide scholarships and program support at Harriett's Theatre located on the College’s Sanford/Lake Mary Campus.
Presented by Foundation for Seminole State College, the premier event is the initial unveiling of Harriett’s favorite things, a collection including jewelry, clothing, hats, and other fashion items. Harriett protected these items from sale so her legacy of giving to her “Seminole State kids” in theatre would continue after her death in 2018.
Those who have known or met Harriett Lake will recognize these items immediately. Prices start at $15. The event will be held daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2019 through Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019 at Harriett’s Closet Warehouse, 902 Waterway Place, Longwood, Florida 32750.
